Step 1-Make a Cross at the bottom

OK let us start.
Decide upon a colour to make your cross, say yellow.
Now what is the colour of the face opposite the yellow face? It is white here.
So try and bring all the yellow edge facelets around the white centre.

Don't worry about the other facelet of the yellow edges not matching the centre next to it.
This is very easy and intuitive and will not take you very long.

Once you have the above mentioned configuration, turn the U face until one of the yellow edge matches with the centre of a side face.
